More from Korea, this time from the South, via the Gulf.

LG Electronics, are already using nanosilver particles in as antibacterial and deodorisation features in air conditioners, refrigerators, vacuum cleaners and washing machines.

Perhaps more significant in light of the Royal Society’s conclusions and recommendations on regulation is LGs claim that they have secured approval “for quality and safety from accredited international bodies like the US Environmental Protection Agency, Japan’s SIAA and Korea’s Testing and Research Institute for Chemical Industry, among others.”

Anyone interested in what the rest of Korean industry is up to in the nanoworld should make a beeline for the exibition at NanoKorea 2004.
