Water, Water Everywhere, and Not a Drop to Drink

Last year, after Cientifica had performed some initial research for governments about the impact of nanotechnologies on water processes, we got a little impatient with the lack of any real initiatives in this area other than the promise of more discussion. So, we launched the Nanowater Organization and its accompanying NanoWater 2004 Conference to see if we couldn’t push things ahead a little.

We had the good fortune of having sponsorship for that event, it came from Bob Rosenbaum and his company Small Advantage. Mr. Rosenbaum has always believed that whatever incremental or disruptive changes nanotechnologies can bring to water processes and technologies should be pursued since solving the world’s water issues are of paramount importance. And he has put his time and money where his mouth is.

We were pleased to see that Mr. Rosenbaum has continued pushing this area and has been influential in setting up the Israel Water Forum in March of this year, and they are already showing some results.

For our part, we will continue to support these initiatives and should be having some more news on what we’ve been up to in the area of nanotechnologies and water. In the meantime, take a look at WNEC Singapore conference website in which a track is devoted to the nanotechnologies being applied to water processes.
