According to an Iranian Research Institute of Petroleum Industry, nanotechnology will “reduce gasoline consumption by half, saving 200 million liters gasoline per year” and “will also have positive economic and environmental consequences.”
The article doesn’t give any timescale, or specify how this will be achieved, but neighbouring oil producers won’t welcome the news.
