With the recent rash of conferences now over, we can get back down to business.
EuroNanoTex 2004, produced by the European NanoBusiness Association, exceeded expectations in terms of attendance and industry interest with over 100 people packed into the room in Barcelona.
This was Europes first business-focused nanotech & textiles conference, and delegates and speakers represented every segment of both the textile industry and nanotechnology community including textile producers, textile federations, European policy makers, and some of the most significant nanotechnology solutions providers from around the world.
It wont, however, be the last. Plans are already underway for an even bigger event next year.
With speakers from the European Parliament, Euratex and AITPA two of the leading textile federations in Europeand companies that have been extremely successful in applying nanotechnology to textile products, such as Nano-Texs CEO Donn Tice, penetrating and thought-provoking discussions were plentiful.
The European NanoBusiness Association will be developing in the coming weeks and months reports from this event with the aim of better focusing European nanotechnology providers and textile manufacturers on how nanotechnology can be better applied to the European textile industry so it continues to remain competitive in a global economy. All of this is free to ENA members, to find more on this visit the new ENA website.
