Any government official willing to guide legislation or government funding toward advanced nanotechnology research may be in the running for a prize according to the Foresight Institute.
We are not sure how many officials would accept the prize if it, as other Foresight awards, involves any cash, as buying government officers(especially anyone with the power to award contracts) so much as a cup of coffee can be frowned upon in some quarters, but if the years of lobbying and whining hasn’t provided the necessary funding for the diamondoid utopia, perhaps the promise of plaque might?
How about nominating Mike Rocco?
