We have been watching with interest the new direction the Foresight Institute seems to be taking. President Scott Mize explains the mission in more detail at Nanotech-Now, but left us rather puzzled by this definition.
“Productive Nanosystems are molecular-scale systems that make other useful materials and devices that are nanostructured.”
It also raises the question of whether there are such things as unproductive nanosystems, perhaps those that spend their time speculating on what the productive nanosystems will be able to do once someone gets around to inventing them?
