Reclaiming the Middle Ground

The Centre for (ir)Responsible Nanotechnology catches more than a few brickbats from us, chiefly for their espousal of 30 essential studies which they claim need to conducted immediately whereas we would propose just one (or perhaps two if a qualified psychiatrist happens to be at hand).

The differing points of view will be on display this October at the Foresight Institutes 1st Conference on Advanced Nanotechnology Research, Applications, and Policy. Both pro and anti nanotech groups seem to attract more than their fair share of fanatics, and this conference should go someway to restoring the balance in favour of the rational, and we hope open minded majority.
