Cientificas newest baby, the Asian nanotech hub in Singapore launched at Global Entrepolis 2004 has been making a big splash all week. From CNBC Asia on Monday, through to the Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao, the regions biggest Chinese language daily on Friday, its been non stop.
Singapore is an obvious location for Cientifica. Its position at the trade and technological crossroads of Asia fits perfectly with the multinational and multidisciplinary nature of nanotechnology. In addition, Singapore sits at the heart of a region that has much to gain from nanotechnology, whether through manufacturing industry, or the applications of nanotechnology to natural resources, from textiles to water treatment. In the longer term, these regional technology links will become as important to Singapore as the manufacturing links to Europe, the US, Korea and Japan are now.
Cientifica has now arrived to support Asian business, in English, Mandarin or Japanese.
