Commercialising academic technology isn’t as easy as it looks. BTG, the troubled UK technology commercialisation company, is laying off third of its workforce in a bid to stem its losses. It is also scrapping 60 early stage technology projects, mainly in areas such as nanotechnology and the physical sciences.
There may be a few gems up for grabs.
