Carbon Nanotechnologies Inc has announced the availability of double walled nanotubes, leading some to scratch their heads and wonder what on earth these structures are.
In effect it is a compromise, single walled nanotubes mat have been touted as the material to solve every problem, but tend to be horrendously expensive to produce. Their double walled cousins on the other hand, are ideal for a specific application being pursued by a number of Asian manufacturers. More details are here.
