Richard Jones over at Soft machines has posted a primer on the it is / it isnt debate over the feasibility of molecular nanotechnology. May we suggest a big arrow on most nanotech web sites labelled “Start Here?”
The main proponents of the it is and it will and you will be proved wrong one day debate, the Foresight Institute has recently decided to switch from ramming molecular nanotechnologies down the throat of an increasingly disinterested world to trying to save the world through any kind of nanotechnology.
We are left wondering whether this is a conversion on the road to Damascus or simply an admission that fifteen years of talking about science is no substitute for actually doing it?
