Theres money to be had from nanobots, at least for students taking part in the Microsoft sponsored Imagine Cup. Team AI@PUT, comprising Wojciech Jaskowsk and Jakub Gorgolewski from Poznon University of Technology, Poland received a cash reward of $8,000 as winners of the Visual Gaming Invitational while the $5,000 high school prize went to Shinei Kato, age 15, from Nada High School, Japan. Not bad for messing around with nanobots.
The Visual Gaming invitational brings together AI programming, 3-D gaming and nanotechnology, challenging students to program the strategy for a team of “nanobots” and save the life of the fictional Professor Hoshimi.
