Bucking the Trend

Investors usually loathe materials companies, whether nano or not, but the exception seems to be nanomaterials producer Nanogram who just raised $18.7 million in a new round.

Investors who like the look of nanomaterials (or at least the proceeds of NanoGram Technology subsidiary to Wilson Greatbatch Technologies in 2004 for $45 million in cash) include Technology Partners and NanoGram’s existing investors: ATA Ventures, Nth Power Technologies, Bay Partners, Harris & Harris Group, Rockport Capital Partners, Institutional Venture Partners and SBV Venture Partners.
