The Bangkok Post reports on how manufacturers are parading out new products with internal air-purifying technology that kills airborne germs, presenting a challenge to units with external air purifiers.
It is a good example of how nanotechnology is replacing the existing air purification technology from manufactures such as Sharp, allowing the integration of more functions (and the consequent improvement in margins) within one unit. Samsung, LG and now York Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (Thailand) Co, the Thai arm of the Pennsylvania-based York International Corp are all active in this area with nano related solutions.
